Firenze - Casa dei Tintori B&B

Newly born in Florence, the Casa dei Tintori is a refined and quiet Italian residence freshly restored after an accurate intervention, to offer lovers of Medieval Florence a gorgeous holiday in the true spirit of warm and friendly Italian Bed and Breakfast hospitality.

The house was built in the XIIIth century as a large textile dyeing and wool weaving site, and is located at #33 Corso dei Tintori, just a few steps from the Arno River, in the heart of the ancient Borgo di Santa Croce, in the very district once teeming with the craftsmen’s workshops all grouped under the aegis of the Arte dei Tintori (the Art of the dyers).

Its central location makes it an ideal place for enjoying the city sights, exploring the whereabouts, while its coziness makes it a great place to stay.

The Casa dei Tintori is in fact only a few minutes’stroll to the Duomo (Cathedral), Piazza della Signoria (Signoria Square), the Uffizi Art Gallery, the Ponte Vecchio, to quote just a few of the many renowned symbols of Medieval and Renaissance Florence, which make this city one of the most widely targeted destinations in cultural tourism.

Accommodation and hospitality

The Casa dei Tintori’s owners offer their guests a special welcome with Italian friendly and high quality hospitality at its best.

Bed and Breakfast All of the five available bedrooms – 4-bedded, matrimonial or twin – have ensuite bathrooms, and are tastefully furnished with reproduction and style furniture, and with textiles in patterns and colours derived from the Florentine tradition of the Arte dei Tintori. All rooms have televisions, individual air conditioning and safes.

High-speed internet access service is available in the Entrance Hall.

Upon request, breakfast can also be served in the large and invitingly fresh Terrace Patio, where you can also relax with a good book borrowed from the home library’s vast selection.

A bicycle parking facility is provided, and if you allow us sufficient notice, we can supply a tour guide escorting you on city sightseeing tours, and a babysitting and child care service.
For those interested in furthering their knowledge of the Art of the Dyers and the Textile Industry in Medieval and Renaissance Florence, the manifold artifacts, and images displayed in the public parts of the Bed and Breakfast will certainly be of help.
